GD-620 Series
Moly Powder
Applications

GD-620 Moly Powder uses:
Consumers: Pinewood Derby Cars (Cub Scouts) lubricate the axles and wheels. Use GD-620M
Coating bullets (gun enthusiasts) Use GD620L
Industrial: Bearings during assembly; metal forming dies, threaded parts, liquid oxygen valves and electrical contacts in relays and switches

Benefits

GD-620 reduces friction and torque, fretting, corrosion, galling, and seizing. Lubricates when pressures exceed 500,000 psi and it resists liquid or gaseous oxygen, radiation, chemical and vacuum environments.

Typical Observations

Purity  98% (+1% carbon and 2% trace elements)

Moly Powder is available in three (3) different sizes of particles, as determined by a scanning Electron Microscope:
S < 0.5-8µm
M < 0.5-20µm
L < 1 - 100µm

How To Use

Burnish it into the surface of the metal by rubbing with a lint-free cloth. Some consumers use a buffing wheel impregnated with the powder to burnish the powder into derby axles and wheels.

Use a tumbler to coat bullets with an aid, such as glass beads or BB's. (Some gun enthusiasts burnish moly paste into the bullet instead of using powder. Use GD-570).
